FAQ
Does my student need to have their own Lego Mindstorms NXT kit to participate in the event?
No, all kits are provided by RIT.
Can my student bring their own legos?
Unfortunately no. To ensure the kits stay intact we can’t allow for outside legos to be brought to the event. Sorry…
Does my student need prior experience?
Not for the introductory class currently offered. For the Intermediate and Advanced classes (which will be offered soon) prior experience will be required.
Where do I mail my check to?
Please don’t mail your checks. Please bring them with you on the first day of RoboWeekend. Also, please be sure that checks are made out to “MABL”.
Will me student be working alone or in a group?
Students are paired up on the first day of RoboWeekend. They will work together during the projects and in the competition. If you would like to request a partner please specify in the comments section on the registration page.
My student wasn’t able to register for any of the dates offered. When will the next one be?
Our goal is to offer an event at least once a month.
Is there a mailing list?
Yes please email Ryan Bowen and request to be added to the mailing list. Also if you are on the mailing list by accident please notify us.
